Soundproof glass

Are you bothered by disruptive outside noise in your office or business premises? These could be sounds like the train that roars past every 10 minutes, or even the usual city noises of road traffic and people can cause disruption in your workplace. Moreover, noise from an adjacent room can easily distract you or your employees or make it difficult to concentrate on your work. System Flex offers the solution to this problem. By installing soundproof glass in your building, you'll no longer experience any disruptive outside noise. We're happy to help you achieve this.

What is soundproof glass?

Sound-insulating glass is glass used in spaces affected by disruptive external noise. The glass is specially laminated and covered with a sound-dampening film. The film is invisible, yet translucent, and reflects vibrations caused by sound. This prevents, or significantly reduces, the penetration of external noise. This also applies to internal noise, which is less audible to the outside world.

The strength of sound insulation is indicated by a so-called Sound Reduction Index (SRI). This measurement is used internationally and is expressed as a number (value) in decibels (dB). The higher the value, the better the sound insulation. Standard double glazing has an RW value of 29 dB. By making the glass soundproof, this value can increase by up to 50 dB.

The benefits of soundproof glass

Making a room soundproof using soundproof glass has several advantages for you and your employees:

  • More peace in the workplace
  • Higher concentration
  • Improving productivity
  • More job satisfaction and well-being

Installing soundproof glass significantly improves the acoustic comfort in a room. This creates a more peaceful work environment. It also promotes concentration and, consequently, productivity for you and your staff. These improvements lead to greater job satisfaction and well-being, which in turn contributes to the health of your staff.
