System City Dongen: The sustainable showcase of System Flex
System City is the proud home of System Flex itself. In this building in Dongen, completed in 2020, we showcase the possibilities of our glass walls – from creative applications to sustainable solutions.
The building features three of our most popular wall systems: Flex Light 2.0 , Flex Deluxe , and Flex Industrial . Together, they form the foundation for an inspiring work environment where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand.
Creativity and functionality in one design
The System Flex office reflects what we stand for: customization, quality, and vision. By using our walls and profiles in unusual ways, we demonstrate the endless possibilities. For example, we've even created a greenhouse with our glass walls, a symbol of growth and innovation. The profiles on the glass walls demonstrate that a wall system can also be an aesthetic work of art.
Sustainable, future-proof and comfortable
System City has an A energy rating and is fully designed with the future in mind. The temperature is controlled by a heat pump, and solar panels provide the energy. Furthermore, considerable attention has been paid to acoustics . Through clever material choices and the combination of various system walls and ceilings, we have achieved an optimal balance between openness and tranquility.
The greenhouse: our green eye-catcher
The eye-catcher is undoubtedly the greenhouse – created using a combination of Flex Light 2.0 and Flex Industrial glass walls. The greenhouse symbolizes our vision: "planting seeds for new ideas and growth." By integrating an indoor garden into the office, a unique connection between nature and architecture is created. A challenging piece of custom work that pushes our boundaries.
Ceilings for style and acoustics
For the ceiling design we opted for functional variation:
- Ecophon Focus DG – elegant ceiling islands above workplaces.
- OWA RAW Grey – for a rugged, industrial look.
- Wooden slatted ceiling – in the greenhouse, to enhance the natural look.
- OWA Brillianto – in the workshop for optimal noise reduction.
