Fletcher Hotel Amsterdam: Custom-made in a round icon
The renowned Fletcher Hotel Amsterdam , located directly on the A2 motorway, is a true eye-catcher. Its rounded glass facade and striking circular architecture make this building a unique landmark in the Amsterdam Zuidoost skyline. System Flex had the honor of realizing this unique project from start to finish: from the system walls to the ceilings and complex custom solutions throughout the hotel.
A challenging construction process
The all-glass facade presented logistical challenges. Because windows couldn't be removed for material transport, all materials had to be brought in through the main entrance. This required meticulous planning and organization to get everything to the right place on time and undamaged. A magnificent example of logistical craftsmanship.
Innovative system walls and ceilings
Various wall systems have been used throughout the hotel. A highlight is the Flex Light Deluxe double-glazed wall in the attic. Fire-resistant partition walls have also been installed between the hotel rooms for optimal safety and sound insulation. The ceilings were also striking: custom-made steel ceiling panels were used to complement the building's curved shapes, both inside and out.
