2. Practical live demonstrations

This year, there was plenty of room for hands-on activities. Visitors not only received brochures but also saw live demonstrations of new technologies in practice:

  • House of the Future: A showcase of innovative products for walls, floors and ceilings.
  • Stucco demonstration square: Restoration techniques and ornamental work by the Dutch Stucco Guild.
  • Painting techniques: Demonstrations of modern spray painting techniques and high-quality mirror finishes.

3. Innovation and recognition

Innovation was the central theme of the 2025 Finishing Innovation Award . This award went to the "Stuc-Trolley," an invention that cleverly combines ergonomics and efficiency. There was also considerable attention for the best projects in the painting industry in preparation for the SchildersVAK Award .

4. Key observations for the sector

What was striking was the broad mix of visitors; today's finishers are multidisciplinary professionals. There was more emphasis on the experience than on static presentations. The "House of the Future" demonstrated that the sector is fully committed to lighter and more sustainable work. The fact that more than a third of the exhibitors immediately registered for the next edition underscores the success of this networking event.

Conclusion

The 2025 Finishing Trade Days were an inspiring meeting place for everyone who wants to move forward in the finishing industry. The third edition is already scheduled for November 10 and 11, 2027.
