Building Experience: Ambition and daylight on Basicweg in Amersfoort
Welcome to "Building Experience," the column where we bring architecture and interior design to life. Today we travel to the De Hoef business park in Amersfoort. Here, near the green Waterwingebied (Water extraction area), we find an office building that exudes ambition and progress: Basicweg 12. A building that not only draws attention from the outside but also surprises with unique details inside.

A staircase that touches the sky
Upon entering, you're immediately guided by smart digital signage. But the real spectacle unfolds above you. The impressive staircase is fully illuminated by a gigantic window at the front. This creates an unprecedented sense of spaciousness and freedom; it's as if you can touch the sky from the heart of the building.

Harmony in color and material
The lunchroom is designed as a calming and inspiring oasis. The color palette of light blue pastels adds a fresh, homey touch that immediately exudes confidence. Modern, playful furniture is combined with natural materials like wood and glass, creating a harmonious whole where relaxation and connection are central.
Details that make the difference
It's the subtle details that give this building its unique character. Think of the carpeting in countless shades of gray throughout the building, or the pops of color that give each room its own identity. Furthermore, the abundance of plants and flowers brings nature indoors, creating a sense of serenity in the workplace.

Personalized finishing by System Flex
Throughout the building, System Flex's modular walls and ceilings are the driving force behind the design. We not only ensured a sleek finish but also created a unique visual identity by applying custom-designed films to the glass walls. This allows the interior design to flow seamlessly into the architectural elements.
